Senior Chief IMSM Officer I Overseer of Cardiology and Endocrine Teachings I IMSM Social Media Controller I IMSM Recruitment Officer
Bio:
I earned my medical degree from St. George's University School of Medicine in June 2025. I am currently based in Los Angeles. Originally from the island of Oahu, Hawaii, I carry with me a deep connection to the ocean and the values of aloha that shaped my outlook on life. Following high school, I spent a gap year in Voss, Norway, where I immersed myself in the language and culture. This experience sparked a lasting appreciation for global perspectives and the power of human connection across cultures.
During the third year of medical training, I broadened my clinical experience in the United Kingdom at North Middlesex University Hospital. There, I strengthened my clinical acumen, refined my practical skills and built meaningful professional relationships. I joined the Internal Medicine Student Mentorship (IMSM) program in January 2024, driven by a commitment to enhancing peer support and fostering a collaborative, educational environment for fellow medical students.
Beyond medicine, I am passionate about the outdoors and creative expression. I enjoy hiking, painting, skiing, and exploring diverse cultures through travel.

Bio:
Hi, I’m Mya! I’m originally from Trinidad and Tobago and studied medicine at St. George’s University in Grenada. What was meant to be just six months in London turned into the rest of my medical degree—I fell in love with the city’s beautiful architecture, fast-paced lifestyle, and the feeling that there’s always something new happening.
Outside of medicine, I’m a big dog lover (and dog walker!). I find joy in their simple happiness—it’s a great reminder to appreciate the little things. You can usually find me with a vanilla oat latte in hand or planning my next travel adventure. So far, I’ve explored Athens and Amsterdam, and I can’t wait to see more of Europe.
My journey through medical school wasn’t always easy, but I persevered, and that’s why I’m passionate about tutoring. Often, it can seem overwhelming when you’re struggling just to stay afloat when everyone else is seemingly sailing through medical school and exams without a minor hurdle. However, that is rarely the truth. The proper support and fresh perspective can turn things around. I’m excited to be part of the IMSM team, not just to share what I’ve learned, but also to connect with other students and help make their journeys a little smoother.

Bio:
Hi! I’m Misbah, a medical student from New York City. I completed my third year of medical school in the UK at North Middlesex University Hospital and will be finishing my remaining rotations in the U.S. Spending a year in London gave me a unique perspective on adapting to different healthcare systems, academic environments, and life far from home.
My journey in medicine hasn’t been a smooth sail, but through resilience and persistence, I’ve been able to achieve things I once doubted were possible. Joining IMSM allowed me to channel my passion for creating supportive spaces for students, especially those studying internationally, and helping them feel informed, connected, and confident throughout their journey. I have many ambitious aspirations, one of which is to open a free medical mentoring and tutoring service to support students who may not always have access to guidance.
Outside of medicine, I love exploring new cities, journaling, baking, and engaging in creative and reflective projects that promote growth and balance. If you ever need a recommendation for the best study spot or the best coffee, I’m definitely your person.

Srosha is a medical student in her final year of clinicals at North Middlesex University Hospital in London, United Kingdom. This fall of 2026, she will complete her clinical year at Coney Island Hospital in Brooklyn, New York City, USA, and subsequently will receive the Doctor of Medicine degree.
Srosha is from Thailand, "The Land of Smiles," a country renowned for its rich cultural heritage, emphasis on community, and strong values of respect and empathy. Growing up immersed in this environment has instilled in her a deep appreciation for cultural sensitivity, adaptability, and effective communication—qualities that are essential in medicine. Her multicultural experiences, including time spent in San Francisco, China, India, Grenada, and the UK, have further enhanced her ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds.
She has a strong interest in obstetrics and gynecology and is scheduled to complete her final clinical electives in Brooklyn, New York City, in fall 2026. She is currently involved in research on ultrasound-based liver assessment and plans to present her abstract at the 2026 American Association of Clinical Anatomists (AACA) conference. In addition, she is working on a "Quality Improvement Project on Pregnancy of Unknown Location" at North Middlesex University Hospital in London, United Kingdom. Through these experiences, she has developed skills in leadership, collaboration, and clinical teamwork.
Her long-term goal is to attend OB/GYN medical residency in the USA and pursue a career in the OB/GYN specialty, where she hopes to support women throughout pregnancy and reproductive health. She is particularly passionate about creating an environment where patients feel heard, supported, and safe. To further strengthen her clinical training, she actively seeks opportunities, such as PROMPT training, and continues to build strong professional relationships with consultants and mentors.
Her motivation to join IMSM stems from a desire to support third-year medical students during a demanding stage of training. Having benefited from mentorship herself, she seeks to give back by creating a supportive environment for others. This involvement has strengthened her leadership, communication, and teamwork skills while encouraging her personal growth as a role model. She knows that to be a role model for others, she has to hold herself to an appropriate high standard. She embraces the principle that it is not the title that defines the individual, but the individual who defines the title, and continually strives to grow into that responsibility.
Outside of medicine, she enjoys badminton, pickleball, scuba diving, and video games. These activities help her maintain a balanced lifestyle, manage stress, stay physically active, and promote a positive sense of competitiveness.

Hiya! My name is Sadia and I was born in Bangladesh and moved to the USA when I was just a few months old. I am a proud New Jersey gal and studied Biology with a minor in Criminology at Rutgers University in NJ. After which I pursued my medical degree at St. George’s University and graduated with my MD in 2026.
I’ve always had a passion for pediatrics and family medicine because I love primary care. I completed my 3rd year of clinical rotations in London, UK which gave me a unique perspective of a healthcare system that is so different from the USA. I finished my medical school journey in Brooklyn, NY and hope to complete my residency close to home.
Outside of medicine I love reading, watching scary movies, kayaking, playing Bananagrams and baking. But my favorite thing to do outside of medicine is to spend quality time with my friends, family, and my non-human kitty friends.
